Giga Tech in partnership with Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) initiated an R&D project to develop a prototype of ICU Ventilator at end of March 2020. This Industry-Academia collaboration ensured a cross-disciplinary approach. Giga Tech’s R&D & Innovation team leading the mechanical engineering, embedded hardware & software, electrical engineering aspects, and MIST leading the Biomedical engineering.
The standards entailed by us have proven to be successful in taking the prototype of ICU grade ventilator into the final testing stage. The joint team is working together for the common mission – to help the country fight COVID19 with its own strength as this critical health care equipment is required at the moment to save lives due to COVID-19. The team is on a mission to introduce Bangladesh’s first mechanical ventilator (conventional category as per FDA) ensuring standards by WHO, IFMBE, ACCE, PAHO, AAMI, CSCE, JACE, and other regulatory bodies.
